I stopped going to churches that don’t walk the talk. And I always say if Jesus was to have a religion, it would be that of love. The Pharisees hated him because he was not religious and that threatened their power. So for me, love is my religion. And Jesus did say, the greatest of all commandments is to love God with all you are and to love your neighbour as yourself. How I interpret this is, like you mentioned, the Bible has different laws and regulations, but if we are to choose the one to follow, then the way of love is it. And this has made my faith that much simpler, and deeper. Love has become my standard of measure. Love is the only religion I rock with.
